It is said that a good rule of thumb for pairing wine and food is to choose them from the same region – so what better way to celebrate English Wine Week (Saturday 23rd May – Sunday 31st May) than with two special dinners pairing the UK’s finest labels with Roast’s renowned British dishes.

The four-course dinners will include paired wines from England’s leading wine producer, Chapel Down. Based in Tenterden in Kent, the Chapel Down winery boasts some of the best winemaking facilities in England and holds to its name an impressive array of international awards. Boasting a strong relationship with Chapel Down, Roast stock many of their vintages and worked with the winery on their own signature varieties, Roast Chapter Two and Roast Bacchus Reserve 2013.

With introductions from Roast’s sommelier Romans Daleckis, guests can enjoy perfectly paired wines alongside the stunning seasonal British dishes that the restaurant is famous for. Signed by Head Chef Marcus Verberne, copies of the restaurant’s beautiful cookbook ‘Roast: a very British cookbook’ will also be available to purchase for £20.
