Proscenium

Drummer and composer Scott Chapman has established himself as a noted member of the London music scene in recent years, having won the Humphrey Lyttleton award in 2013, and Yamaha Jazz Scholar prize upon graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with first-class honours.

His new quintet Proscenium showcases his original compositions and a distinct line up of musicians, resulting in a unique band sound that engages the listener with lyrical melodies, captivating grooves, loops and ensemble interplay, and drawing influence from folk, world, and contemporary music.
