Join us for a fantastic leisurely Go explore with Sustrans walk during May, the national walking month. This adventure will take us from Uxbridge, along the quiet banks of Grand Union Canal and all the way to Rickmansworth.

Our wonderful volunteers will guide you alongside the canal. They will show you how this is part of Britain’s industrial heritage, how it has been conserved and now offers a tranquil oasis on the edge of London.

We’ll walk through part of the Colne Valley Park, some of which is also the London loop and past many lakes that have resulted from previous gravel excavation. Many of these are now nature reserves or are used for leisure pursuits.

The walk finishes in the historic town of Rickmansworth which has good railway connections home and offers weary walkers numerous opportunities to participate in light refreshment.

National Cycle Network route 61 continues via the excellent traffic-free Ebury Way to Watford for those wishing to explore the area in more detail at a later date. This walk goes along National Cycle Network route 6 and 61.
