Join us on a leisurely Go explore with Sustrans bike ride along the quiet National Cycle Network Route 1 through the Lee Valley, Olympic Park and all the way to Greenwich.

This pleasant bike ride is largely off-road and runs through beautiful parks and down picturesque canal towpaths.

Along the route, you will see a variety of flora and fauna, canal boats and the fantastic facilities and stadiums at London’s 2012 Olympic sites. We will stop for lunch at a cafe along the way.

We will go at an easy pace, but participants should be confident that they are fit enough to cover the distance in the time allocated. There are joining and drop out points should people want to make their ride shorter, e.g. Markfield Park Café near Tottenham Hale and the Olympic Park near Stratford.

As there are not many shops along the route it is suggested you bring plenty of snacks to keep you going. There will be an hour lunch stop at Markfield Park Café so do bring some money.

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather, bring sun protection, waterproofs and something to drink. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet us at 11am outside the café at the Lee Valley White Water Rafting Centre (nearest train stations Cheshunt & Waltham Cross).
Or, meet us at 1pm at Markfield Park Café, Markfield Road, London N15 4RB (nearest train station Tottenham Hale)
