Gits & Shiggles comedy presents: Bridget Christie + James Acaster + Alex Edelman

Gits and Shiggles, the critically acclaimed comedy night specialises in bringing together the best emerging, established and alternative stand-up, sketch, musical, improvised, clown and character comedy.

Bridget Christie
Bridget Christie was a finalist in Funny Women 2004, was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2005, won the inaugural Funny Women Best Show Fringe Award 2007 for her show The Court of King Charles II and was nominated for the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act 2009.

Her debut BBC Radio 4 series, BRIDGET CHRISTIE MINDS THE GAP was broadcast in April 2013. It won Best Radio at the 2014 Chortle Awards and a prestigious 2014 Rose D'Or International Broadcasting Award. It was also nominated for a Radio Academy Award 2014, but she lost out and was told by the winner on the night that she shouldn't have won anyway, as it was only her first series.

James Acaste
James Acaster began performing stand-up comedy in January 2008. In 2010 he supported Josie Long for the whole of her UK tour Be Honourable. In 2011 he supported Milton Jones for the whole of his UK tour The Lion Whisperer. James took his first full solo show Amongst Other Things to the Edinburgh festival in 2011, it went well. In 2012 he took his second solo show Prompt to the Edinburgh festival where it was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Foster's Comedy Awards. In 2013 he performed at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival
where his show was nominated for Best International Show.

Alex Edelman
New York-based comedian, recent college graduate and winner of this year's Foster's Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.
