Portable exhibition

Don't miss the boat! The Portable exhibition brings together artists from Spain, Scotland and London at the Fordham Gallery - a floating canal boat gallery.

The exhibition looks at London’s maritime heritage and the wildlife and topography of the present day Thames path. It explores the past and present of the Ullapool harbour which has offered safe haven and passage to Norse raiders, Atlantic pioneers and Highlands to north-west coast explorers and in the present day is host to a variety of visitors including fishermen, ferry travellers, pleasure cruisers, tourists, yachtsmen and sailors. It navigates A Coruña’s nautical history as a port and centre of trade since Roman times to the present day as home to a thriving fishing industry.
