Today, no one doubts that Jose Miguel Conejo Torres, best known as Leiva, is destined to sculpt his name among the greatest Spanish musicians of all time. His songs seem to have been there forever. They sound beautiful, so irresistible and at the same so simple. It is obvious that this is the work of a once-in-a-generation artist.

Born in Vallecas, Madrid, in 1980, no one should be surprised that the young Leiva played drums and wanted to start his own rock band to make versions of Leno. That anti-social behaviour and rocker attitude is clear in his early works with Pereza – the band he formed with Ruben Pozo. It was their third album, 'Animales' (2005) that brought them widespread acclaim, placing them amongst the leading figures in Spanish rock, their success arising from music that perfectly combined old traditions and large doses of personality and originality.

The following years were very exciting. The band released three more albums, delivering amazing live performances including with Joaquín Sabina in La Bombonera stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2012, as a solo artist, Leiva released 'Diciembre', showing that the magic was still there (winning 'Album of the year' according to Rolling Stone Spain). His next album, 'Polvora' was awarded a gold record just one month after its release. The wind is still behind him and he now arrives in London with Rock Sin Subtitulo in the midst of his best periods. The name Leiva carries plenty of clout.
