Duke of Uke presents the first of an all new season of shows... A seated and intimate night of solo performances in the beautiful surroundings of The Old Church in Stoke Newington featuring Withered Hand, Woodpigeon and Ralegh Long.

Withered Hand

Known for his prolific live performance and exuberant and original songwriting, Dan Willson aka Withered Hand will be headlining the first of a new season of Duke of Uke shows.

Gaining critical acclaim from Rolling Stone and Mojo, and a staunch favourite of Marc Riley and Jarvis Cocker, his long awaited second album New Gods explores eleven meditations on love, fidelity and transience and sees Willson’s songwriting hit dizzying heights: by turns confessional and melancholy, raucous and life-affirming; life, in all its many facets, turned up to full.

“Killer melodies… wobbly folk grooves…as melodic wimps go, he’s up there with fellow Scots Belle and Sebastian; his tunes full of warm, woozy singsong charm” Artist To Watch
Rolling Stone Magazine – 2011

Wood Pigeon

Over from Calgary, Alberta on a European tour, Duke of Uke once welcomes Mark Hamilton of Woodpigeon to the stage for a much anticipated solo performance.

Another favourite of BBC6Music's Marc Riley, Woodpigeon are a musical collective led by and performing the songs of Mark Andrew Hamilton. To date, Woodpigeon have released six studio albums, and a number of EPs to critical acclaim, and Hamilton has worked with over 70 collaborators both on record and in live performance.

Ralegh Long

After the great success of his debut album Hoverance, released on Gare du Nord records on 6th April 2015, we're very proud to have our good friend Ralegh Long grace the Duke of Uke stage!

"Inspired by English mysticism and the glories of nature, Ralegh Long registers at the more esoteric end of the male singer-songwriter spectrum"
