51º North is a cross-genre film that seeks to raise awareness about the potential asteroid threat to Earth whilst entertaining the audience. It presents gripping findings from experts in the field of astronomy, featuring interviews, whilst weaving these documentary elements into a gripping narrative.

We’re hosting the Asteroid Day: Science Panel Discussion and movie premiere of 51º North at the Science Museum in London to inaugurate the first ever annual Asteroid Day. The event will begin with a Q&A session with the science panel and director of the film - Grigorij Richters. It will be followed by a short talk by Richters who will introduce 51º North.

VIP guests will arrive and register on the ground level, outside the incredible Exploration Space room. They will then make their way down the red carpet beneath a full-sized replica of ‘Eagle’ – the lander that took astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the Moon in 1969. This unique space will not disappoint. Canapés and drinks will then be served at the VIP drinks reception in the Engineer Your Future room. General ticket buyers will arrive and register on the ground level, outside the Exploration Space room. They will then be asked to make their way into the fantastic IMAX cinema where the Science Panel will begin.

All guests will be treated to the classic delights of a trip to the cinema, with popcorn and other snacks and refreshments. After the screening there will be a short Q&A session and post film drinks in the Exploration Space room.
