Tickets are now on sale for Summer Shorts; a series of unique 15 minute theatre performances to be held over six weeks in a converted 1960’s caravan located in Borough Market’s Market Hall.

Organised by Robin Linde Productions, Summer Shorts will run from 10th June to 18th July every Wednesday – Saturday between 11am and 5pm (Fridays till 6pm).

The Summer Shorts will include six productions written especially for the series. Performed in the caravan and with a seating capacity of ten people, Summer Shorts makes for a unique and close encounter theatre experience. The interior of the caravan has been designed by artist Rosa Sijben.

The performances include:

• Sea View – 10th – 13th June 2015 – Performed by Maya Wasowicz and Robin Steegman and written by Claire Wilson, Sea View follows Angela adjusting to life after her divorce and starting again on a caravan site.

• The Alan Key - 17th – 20th June – Watch as Jo’s life slowly falls apart and then takes a surprising turn on a shopping trip to buy a new bed. Written by Sammy Kissin and performed by Judith Amsenga.

• Then – Toen - 24th – 27th June – an interactive piece, the audience will use site and sounds to ponder questions of life and death. Created by Emma Berentsen (Amber Amborse Aurele & Sofia Morandotti) and performed by Annemiek van Elst.

• Lepidoptery – 1st – 4th July - Paloma Oakenfold’s story explores the tale of a smothering mother and her daughter who is yearning to leave the nest and explore the world.

• Left of Right - 8th – 11th July – Jonathan Peck’s interesting piece explores comedy in tragic situations and asks ‘is it wrong to laugh at the misfortune of others?’.

• Tanroh Ishida - 15th – 18th July - Inspired by Japan’s ancient tale published in Lafcadio Hearn’s Kwaidan (1903), Tanroh Ishida and Taichi Imanishi will take the audience out of London and into another world. Only when you arrive at the destination, you will know the truth.
