On Sunday 7th June, Castle Lane will be transformed into a Country Fayre, in association with the Big Lunch, and to raise awareness and money for the Westminster Foodbank.

We’ll be hosting top quality London street food, drinks and craft vendors (confirmed vendors include Roast Hog, Peace & Cake, Keen and Aya Peckham) and the road will be totally transformed into your typical country fayre – a unique sight in the very heart of the Capital.

There’ll be live music and dancing from Hoedown Band Cut-a-Shine, plus some tunes from Chapel Brass. There’ll be hay bales to sit on, a bucking bronco, and some furry friends from Vauxhall City Farm will be paying us a visit. It promises to be a wonderful day!

In previous years, this annual event has attracted around 1,000 visitors and has been a fun occasion for the whole community.

The Country Fayre is taking place to raise awareness of the Westminster Foodbank, a charitable project in partnership with the Trussel Trust that provides a vital service in our city, supplying three days’ worth of emergency food to people and families in crisis. In the last two years, use of Foodbanks in London has risen by over 300%, increasing our need to raise awareness of the work of the Westminster Foodbank as the service relies on donations.
