Flow Festival launch party bringing a slice of Nordic culture to the capital.

Flow Festival, Scandinavia’s leading arts & music festival will celebrate the 2015 festival with a Nordic party at Birthdays on Wednesday, June 3rd 2015, with free food, music & drinks.

Europe’s coolest Urban Festival, Flow is a 3-day party which takes place in a disused gasworks in Helsinki, August 14th-16th 2015. To launch the festival in London, Organisers – with support from Visit Helsinki - have handpicked of the best Finnish music, food and culture and invite Londoners to get a preview of what Flow has to offer.

As renowned for its culinary line-up as its music, there’ll be creations from Helsinki-based restauranteur and Flow regular Richard McCormick, who will fuel party-goers with a street food concept that will bring together classic Finnish and Vietnamese flavours, to be washed down with craft Finnish lager from Lapin Kulta.

Meanwhile, downstairs will see a night of incredible music, starting with an intimate live performance from the enigmatic singer songwriter Mirel Wagner, whose 2014 album “When The Cellar Children See The Light Of Day” was awarded the Nordic Music Prize.

Next up is a set from Paperi T & Khid, the former known for doing pretty much everything on the Finnish music scene –from writing columns, to hosting radio shows, to rapping - whilst the latter is known for bringing the growliest beats around – Together they collaborate on their own brand of dark-hued modern electronic music.

Sibling electro pop duo LCMDF will get the room dancing with their expansive soundscapes and dramatic flourishes with future-forward pop tunes. After, one half of this duo and member of Flow Festival programming team Emma Kemppainen will join forces with Paperi T to DJ late into the night.

This event is totally free to attend, but RSVP is essential - sign up now on the official website.
