Warp Records longest serving artist, who has been the soundtrack to a generation of smokers and groovers alike, Nightmares on Wax, brings his hypnotising full live show to the Union Chapel, for an exclusive performance at an incredible venue. A one off show.

With seminal albums Smokers Delight, Carboot Soul, and Mind Elevation staples of every record collection, George Evelyn aka DJ E.A.S.E has never stopped his flow of powerful, soulful, and meditative records spanning three decades. With a cheery and unpretentious sincerity, his undefinable mix of chill out, soul, trip-hop, and electronica has always managed to be both hypnotic and upbeat. 2013 saw the release of Feelin' Good layering his deeper trip-hop productions with zesty funk. With classic tracks Les Nuits, Flip Ya Lid, 70s 80s, and Nights Interlude, his retrospective N.O.W Is The Time released this year on Warp and shows an artist who has always been at the top of his game.

As a DJ, Nightmares on Wax runs Wax Da Jam, an institution of the scene in Ibiza at its oldest nightclub, Las Dalias. A DJ Kicks and a Late Night Tales under his belt, while his set at Boiler Room is championed as one of the strongest around. But it is through his live set that E.A.S.E really comes to shine.

Weaving through jazz, soul, electronic, trip- & hip-hop, and funk Nightmares on Wax's show is a journey through melancholic beats via soulful boppers to damn funky jams. DJ, MC, Band-Leader, E.A.S.E has surrounded himself with some of the best musicians going, Ricky Ranking & Mozez (Zero 7) on the mics, seminal-percussionist Shovell (M People), and the young bright talent that is drummer Grant Kershaw.

Time Out Readers' #1 Venue 2014, Union Chapel has acoustics like no other. All is laid bare, and to play here a band must be on top of it's game.

A perfect backdrop to one of the best live performers touring today.
