Wild

Following the birth of her son at home in 2012, award winning theater maker Laura Mugridge became fascinated by midwives and their role in birth. She couldn't stop thinking about how strong she felt during labor and how something, some 'extra' something kicked in that couldn't be explained. This very early work-in-progress of her new show looks at the medical versus the magical and what our bodies might be capable of. She also wants to find out if midwives get addicted to births (she thinks they might).

As part of this week development, Laura will be working with a local midwife.
