This summer, Brown’s London Art Weekend is returning to the heart of Mayfair for the second year running.

Taking place over the weekend of 3rd – 5th July 2015, the event is the ultimate celebration of the area and its art scene, supported by many big names in the food, fashion and arts industry.

A perfect opportunity to discover the modern and contemporary art of Mayfair and St James’s, 100 galleries and auction houses will open their doors to the public, giving visitors a rare insight into the London art scene.

Brown’s Hotel, the central hub for the weekend, will host a programme of specialist art talks covering topics from ‘How to start your art collection’ to ‘Fashion in Art’. Each talk will be hosted by a leading art expert and will last 45 minutes at £30 (including refreshments).

For those interested in exploring the local arts and fashion scene, there will be a series of ‘Recommended Walks’ highlighting the very best places to go. These have been produced in collaboration with Mayfair and Art experts and are truly the best way to get to grips with the pick of the crop. Two particular highlights are sure to be Nicole Farhi’s curated ‘insider’ walk on the area’s best sculpture galleries and Paul Smith’s recommended Mayfair gallery walk.

Mark Hix has created a special menu of dishes inspired by the artists whose work already hangs on the walls of HIX Mayfair. The ‘Hix and The Artists’ menu will give guests the chance to indulge in delicious, innovative dishes. There is even a creative tipple, as Hix presents ‘The Artist’s Collection’, a palette of colourful mini cocktails.
