Filmmaking workshops for children

If your children are into shooting and editing videos using mobile devices, then this is the course for them. We have wide experience in filmmaking and we enjoy passing on our knowledge to young people.
During our week long courses the children will learn:

• What makes a story a great movie;
• How to properly record video [using both professional cameras and smartphones];
• How to make videos that appeal to the public;
• How to edit a movie at home with no need for professional equipment;

Our hands-on workshops are designed for children between 8 and 12 years. We have split the weeks in such way that different weeks will see different age groups alternating between 8 to 10 and 10 to 12 years.
Please note that the workshops are 1 week long (Monday to Friday). Your ticket gives access to a full week of filmmaking fun!
The weeks commencing 20 & 27 July we will be at St Mary's Putney;
The weeks commencing 3 & 10 August we will be at The Old School Club at The Battersea Business Centre;

There's no need for previous filming experience or special equipment, only the drive to make that first movie!

Everyone will have the opportunity to explore each of the aspects of film production both behind and in front of the cameras: director, camera, production /assistant, acting and editing.

The dynamics of the workshops will help the children develop very important life skills such as effective communication, working as a team, problem solving, decision making and self-confidence.

Price includes:
• Use of professional cameras, lighting and microphones;
• 1x instructor and 1x assistant per course;
• Fruit snacks (children must bring packed lunches & water bottles);
• 1x T-shirt;
• USB key to take home with the movie created during the workshop;
• Certificate of attendance.
