Following the success of last year’s inaugural food festival in Fitzrovia, Feast@Fitzrovia is back and this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever. Hosted by The Fitzrovia Partnership, Feast@Fitzrovia presents a week-long celebration of food, glorious food! The festival kicks off on Monday 29th June, showcasing and celebrating the culinary diversity on offer in the area.

Throughout Feast@Fitzrovia, Londoners and visitors alike will be invited to join us at exclusive ticketed events such as The Four Chefs dinner or free for all events like the Summer Food Fayre on Charlotte Street. Feast@Fitzrovia’s Restaurant Week will feature a host of unique offers across Fitzrovia from local restaurants, cafes and bars to be enjoyed day and evening.

The week’s events include…

Fitzrovia Literary Pub Crawl – Tuesday 30th June, various locations
6.30pm, £38 per person

Wind your way through Fitzrovia’s watering holes to learn where Dylan Thomas met his Wife Caitlin, visit the home of young Dickens and the workhouse that inspired Oliver Twist, see the house which Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw shared (at different times). The walks start with a literary pub quiz and ends with a drink, pie and pudding.

The Four Chefs Dinner – Wednesday 1st July at The Elysée
Drinks reception from 6.30pm, £85 per person

A favourite fixture from last year, four top chefs from Fitzrovia will come together to create a one-off, stunning dinner preceded by a champagne reception sponsored by Moët & Chandon and canapés especially created by Marcus Eaves from Michelin-starred, Pied à Terre. The dinner itself is then the creation of Salt Yard Head Chef, Dan Sherlock, Ludovic Mesplé from The Elysée and Wesley Fontain from Elena’s L’Etoile, with expertly matched wines selected by Soho Wines, as well as a top quality cheese course from Premier Cheese.

Make Your Case – Thursday 2nd July at The Building Centre
6.30pm, £30 per person

Another raving success from the previous event, Make Your Case is a delectable wine tasting event with top sommeliers, vintners and restauranteurs from across Fitzrovia. The real zinger is the owners have to present their wines to the judging audience who will score them on presentation and taste.

Charlotte Street Summer Food Fayre – Friday 3rd July, Charlotte Street
11am – 9pm, FREE

As one of the most popular events, the food fayre is extending this year and Fitzrovia’s famed Charlotte Street will be partly closed to play host to stands from some of the area’s top food and drink suppliers. A free for all from 11am – 9pm, Fitzrovians and more can enjoy food from favourites like Kua’Aina and Bobo Social and wash it all down with Rising Sun’s favourite ciders or a sweet treat from Coffees, Cake and Kisses.

Live Food Show – Friday 3rd July, Charlotte Street
12 noon – 6pm, FREE

Top chefs from across Fitzrovia including Elena’s L’Etoile, Kua’Aina, Obica, Pied à Terre and Salt Yard showcase their favourite dishes live on stage, hosted by food writer Andrew Kay. You’ll be able to watch, learn, ask questions and then taste the resulting dishes.

Extreme Food Challenge – Friday 3rd July, Charlotte Street
7pm, FREE

Dare you take the challenge and try some incredibly unusual foods from around the world? This is certainly not for the faint hearted. If you fancy taking part please email [email protected]. Please note you take part at your own risk and it’s not vegetarian friendly!
