Mr Fogg’s Wimbledon Soiree

On Tuesday, 30th June 2015, Mr Fogg and his household staff cordially invite friends and family to a Wimbledon soirée: a celebration of the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament. In honour of the Summer season, fittingly, Mr Fogg's will be partnering with Champagne Lanson, the official and exclusive Champagne Supplier of the Championships, Wimbledon 2015, and BLOOM Strawberry Cup.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by Mr Fogg’s trusty valet, Passepartout, as they are whisked into Phileas Fogg’s cosy abode. The drawing room will be laden with antique wooden tennis rackets and vintage tennis memorabilia, reflecting the famous adventurer’s passion for the venerable British sport.

The newly opened Hendrick’s Botanical Garden will be transformed into a splendid grass tennis court, where guests can partake in a friendly lawn tournament with the purchase of a glass of Champagne Lanson White Label. Mr Foggs’ household staff will be serving traditional champagne, strawberries and cream and scrumptious scones to spectators, as well as refreshing Homemade Tipsy Lemonades made by Grandma Fogg herself.

The talented bar team will be also serving up handcrafted BLOOM Strawberry Cup cocktails, whilst dressed in whites to pay homage to the legendary tournament. Specialty serves will include: The Royal Serve, a festive champagne cocktail that is a punchy twist on the the Kir Royale made with Champagne Lanson White Label, BLOOM Strawberry Cup and sugar syrup; The Bloomin’ Racquet, a fruity blend of BLOOM Strawberry Cup, Monin cinnamon syrup, apple juice, cucumber, mint, topped up with Fever Tree lemonade; and, the tipple of champions, the Fair Game Martini, made with Tanqueray London Dry gin, BLOOM Strawberry Cup, pineapple juice, sugar syrup, fresh lime juice and egg white.

Mr Fogg’s is owned and operated by Inception Group, whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created Chelsea speakeasy Barts, ‘80s themed nightclub, Maggie's, and Bunga Bunga, an Englishman's Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue. Last year they also launched Cocobananas, a nightclub based on a Brazilian beach party and Beaver Lodge, a mountain bar and dance saloon based on the winter cowboy log cabins found in Wyoming. This spring they have brought high spirits to Soho with late night 1940s-inspired bar, Cahoots, set in a hidden underground tube station.
