LIBRARY Presents Lewis Carroll's Wonderland - a Culinary Adventure

To celebrate it's first birthday, LIBRARY presents a unique take on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland - a culinary adventure. The four-week pop up commemorates this remarkable tale's 150th anniversary.

LIBRARY is a private members club in the heart of theatre land on St Martin’s Lane focused on literature, theatre and design. Lewis Carroll's Wonderland - a Culinary Adventure highlights LIBRARY’s literary, design and theatre credentials.

Be whisked into a magical kingdom of mystery, fun and adventure over a four course gastronomic experience. The pop up will showcase a journey of surprises with a series of adventures planned throughout. Go Down The Rabbit Hole as you walk in the dark down the club’s Wonderland inspired yew tree staircase; indulge in A Mad Tea Party in a specially designed set and menu by Chloé Morris. The food, atmosphere and camaraderie with fellow guests will bring the story to life.

Each course, accompanied by a wine pairing will correspond to a specific mood setting in the restaurant. Starting at £45 for a sitting, the four course menu plus cocktail, will include:

Ocean of tears, two sides of mushroom, pig and pepper, a white rabbit and painting the roses red.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 09 July until Saturday 08 August 2015, Lewis Carroll’s's Wonderland will also allow non-members the opportunity to enter through the doors of the exclusive club on St Martin’s Lane and carry on the night in one of the clubs renowned bars.

In addition to the food, part of the adventure will be to bring you out of the dark into the light as you make your way back up the rabbit hole. We will take a closer look at what it is to lose one of our senses. In collaboration with visually impaired individuals leading you through your journey. This event will serve as an opportunity to appreciate what sight means but equally how we can experience the world without it. 10% of all profits from the event will be donated to Royal London Society for Blind People as part of LIBRARY’s first birthday celebrations.
