Karen Sharp

Award winning saxophonist Karen Sharp’s powerful, swinging and melodic saxophone style has graced an impressive array of fine bands. Her cv includes work with the likes of US stars Scott Hamilton, Warren Vache, Bucky Pizzarelli and Dick Sudhalter as well as many of the finest UK musicians such as Sir John Dankworth, Cleo Laine, Mark Nightingale, Jacqui Dankworth and Clare Teal. Twice winner of the British Jazz Awards Saxophone category, she is perhaps best known for her work with the Humphrey Lyttleton band with whom she toured and recorded for more than 3 years. Also featured with the quartet tonight will be one of the UK’s finest jazz pianists, Robin Aspland as well as the great rhythm section of Adam King on bass and Matt Home on drums. Promises to be quite a night!
