'Home Again' Screening and Discussion hosted by the Diaspora Support Network.

Home Again is a 2012 Canadian drama film directed by Sudz Sutherland, shot primarily in Trinidad and Tobago and set in Kingston, Jamaica, about three people who have been deported back to Jamaica, despite having lived in Canada, United States and United Kingdom for most of their lives.

We will be observing the effects of deportation on the three characters and after the film, debate the wider question of what happens after deportation, what constitutes a positive removal/deportation, what constitutes a negative removal/deportation and what makes the difference?

Discussion panel to include:
Barbara Harrell-Bond OBE – Refugee Action Legal Aid Information.
Carmen Kearney - Legal Manager Article 8 Advice and Deportation Project at Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID).
Mr Mighty - DJ - VibesFM.net (Compere).
Roz AKA the Oracle - from Galaxy Radio/FM.
