After a wonderful eclectic well received evening with Caroline Trettine, Mirabeau and Mosi Conde Upstairs at the Ritzy in March, in association with Outerglobe, a return visit was essential.

Caroline Trettine shot to cult status as a singer-writer-guitarist protegee of Billy Bragg and Pete Jenner on their seminal Utility Label, and retains a perfect undefinable brilliance. She performs a mix of acclaimed old and new works, including highlights from her latest album 'Gay demo: field recordings from the audio underground', accompanied on electric guitar by Nick Jacobs from The Blue Aeroplanes, and her producer-guitarist, Roberto de la Sainz Maza. Nick and Caroline will also showcase new songs from their collaboration The Squares. It's something of a Blue Aeroplanes reunion as Caroline was also a member in times past.

Richard Price, the award-winning Carcanet poet, whose poems are '...clear, witty, intelligent, versatile and often highly moving' ('The Guardian') and recently featured in TLS, combines with Caroline in Mirabeau to play pop-art-folk, launching their new album Age of Exploration that features Fyfe Dangerfield from the Mercury Prize shortlisted band, Guillemots.

Mosi Conde, a virtuoso on the kora, enjoying solo performances at WOMAD and the Royal Albert Hall, with significant airtime on the BBC and Resonance Radio, plays extraordinary songs from his acclaimed album 'Kaira Kora Afrika'. 'Extraordinary and unforgettable; pure exhilaration and joy' - Frome Festival.

At the evening's finale, the new trio Koral society with Mosi, Caroline and the featured bass player – sound artist/Blue Aeroplane David Chapman – come together to perform a selection of songs from the project 'Happiness: sunset to sunrise'.
