Amanda Sutton of Amanda’s Autopsies teaches taxidermy tutorials for beginners in the fantastic Grade II Listed Pathology Museum (St Bart’s Hospital campus) on a regular basis. There is a chance to view the museum’s pickled Victorian human specimens before the class starts.

Along the lines of a 'Knit & Natter' afternoon, we named the classes 'Stuff & Nonsense' as they are fun and informal. You chat and listen to music while you go about creating your piece.

Arrive at 12 midday (to start promptly 12:30) and be guided through the process. There will be a break around 2:30pm for refreshments (which we provide). At the end of the class (5pm) there will be a prize for the best effort. Feel free to bring along clothes/props for your piece, although all taxidermy materials and creatures are provided.

Ticket price includes tutorial, all materials and light refreshments. Delegates will also be able to take home their work and tools.

Age limit over 18 years of age only due to the use of sharp implements.

All proceeds go toward the restoration of the museum.
