Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a 45 minute performance inspired from Mary Shelley’s classic gothic novel, performed by Butterfly Theatre Company.

Mary Shelley leads us through her story of an ambitious scientist playing God and abandoning his hideous creation, stitched together from robbed graves, to a cold, cruel world. Desperate for love and driven by revenge Frankenstein’s creature sets off after his creator, leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake.

Putting truthful, responsive acting at the heart of their work, Butterfly’s aim is to make alive theatre that make audiences feel something real moment to moment. They bring well known, much loved texts to new life in an honest, engaging and funny manner.
