The last decade or so has seen a growth in the number of rules, regulations and guidance on the topic of diversity and equality. The equality and diversity arena is constantly changing. For example, language that was OK 20 years ago is now deemed offensive. Procedures that once were considered good practice are now frowned upon. And recent UK demographic changes give rise to new challenges and opportunities.
This course will give participants a good overall introduction to the topic of equality and diversity. Importantly, it will summarise the new Equality Act 2010 - with practical and clear examples of discrimination - in both employment and service delivery.
