Organoleptic Herbal Session for Women

We can sometimes take our senses for granted - eating without really tasting our food, seeing without really evaluating what we are seeing.

This workshop led by herbalist and photographer Louise, aims to exercise all of our senses by exploring some of the common health issues affecting women of African descent and the herbs that can be used to treat them. We will use our senses, in the same way ancient herbalist did, to assess the quality and properties of a selection of herbs and the effect they have on the body.

We will cover:
An introduction to herbal medicine and herbal tasting
Health issues affecting women of African descent such as fibroids, hypertension
Women's health and wellbeing
Relaxation techniques and exercises
And more...

The afternoon will close with a light, fresh meal
