Art History: Art & Music - Anniversaries & Exhibitions 2015

This WEA course will explore topical subjects concerning the history of the arts, related to anniversaries such as Sibelius (born 1865) or to current exhibitions in major London galleries i.e. Barbara Hepworth or Goya. Other significant anniversaries include the artist Poussin and composers such as Nielsen and Scriabin. We will also be examining significant historical events, such as the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and its consequences. The weekly topics will be negotiated with learners.
