Funny Women Sketch & Character Workshop

This workshop covers the basics of creating and developing your own comedy characters, for live and online performance, using games and discussion.

Multi-talented comedian, writer and actress Anna Morris will help you use your own personal experiences to find comical characters, and shape them into monologues and sketches. The workshop is taught in a supportive, relaxed manner which encourages students to gently take the leap into turning their ideas into scripts and characters. We’ll cover areas such as improvising, scripting, structuring a monologue, physicality and voice, audience interaction, working with stereotypes and putting your characters online. Plus tips on handling nerves, getting gigs and dealing with feedback.
