Mote of Dust Films are pleased to be screening the UK premiere of our award winning feature documentary, Something You Can Call Home, at The Arthouse Crouch End on the 12th August at 8.30pm (plus post-screening discussion) as part of a collaboration called Street Stories.

Synopsis:
A former marine with a government career, a student (and female impersonator) living under a bridge - the face of homelessness is changing rapidly. Some make the transition; others fall deeper through the cracks. With both intimacy and touches of dark humour, this film - set in Wilmington, North Carolina - explores what’s essential for physical and emotional survival.

The film has so far been selected for around 20 international film festivals, won several awards including best documentary feature and documentary directing, and been hosted at around 40 community screenings to date in the U.S.

Street Stories is a collaboration between ArtHouse, Homeless Film Festival, Mote of Dust Films, North London YMCA, Levitt Bernstein, Labour of Love and Mike Abrahams.
