October 29th sees three distinctive pioneers in modern electronic music take on the Ovation mantle: Laurel Halo, a special guest TBA and Vatican Shadow.
Heavy, mutilated strains of electronic music with influence from the sounds of Detroit, UK, Jamaica and Germany – Laurel Halo's music is a shapeshifting mess, moody and ecstatic, with flashes of rhythmic brilliance mediated by modal simplicity. With a new double EP due for release in September on London label Honest Jon's Records, this will be one of the first live shows for her anticipated new material.
Also confirmed is Vatican Shadow, the 'Militant Religious Industrial' outfit from multi-media artist Dominick Fernow. Currently residing in the Los Angeles desert, he has set up Bed Of Nails Compound, a new imprint for industrial techno and electronic environments. Vatican Shadow's melodic loops and militant rhythms conspire upon the world stage of conflicts, where it isnt clear what side you are on or who is winning.
Stay tuned for more news on our third special guest, who will be performing a never-before-seen live A/V show.
