Tangos for Angels and Demons

On September 6th, Latin Rediscovery will present the UK’s premier tango group Tango Siempre and their guest, operatic soprano Ann Liebeck at Purcell Room QEH in an exciting evening of classic instrumental tangos and passionately poetic romantic tango ballads.

The Tango Siempre Septet brings together some of the UK's leading tango musicians and string players to recreate the sound of the great Argentinian Orchestras of Tango's golden age, as well as the larger ensembles for which Astor Piazzolla wrote much of his most important music. Julian Rowlands, Jonathan Taylor and Ros Stephen of Tango Siempre created the score (original compositions and arrangements) for the Olivier-nominated hit show Midnight Tango, and appeared in the show's three national tours and two West-End runs.
