An exciting exhibition of really diverse modern print art from six countries - Japan, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, China and England.
The exhibition asks viewers to try to decode the true personality of the artists from their work, looking for - or beyond - cultural differences, personal inclinations, and the overarching effects of globalisation of culture.
There will be a gallery talk by master printer Nigel Oxley about his archive of prints from his work at Kelpra print studio and by Japanese artist Toshihiko Ikeda about printmaking in Japan today.
There will also be a workshop and demonstration of waterless litho printing by Japanese master printer Masahiro Kawara held at the East London Printmakers Studio in association with Prism. See websites for dates and times.
This is the fifth Prism world printmaking exhibition after London and Milan, and twice in Tokyo. Prism Print international is a non-profit organisation promoting cultural exchange through fine art printmaking worldwide.
