One of the country's finest up-and-coming choral groups, The Erebus Ensemble, appear at KOFMA on Tuesday 15th September with the latest leg in their 2015 tour entitled 'A Tale of Two Traditions'. The programme juxtaposes choral music from two very distinct schools, the early Tudor period and the modern Holy Minimalist tradition. These sound worlds work beautifully together and will come alive in the wonderful acoustic of St Matthew's Church.

The Erebus Ensemble has developed quite a reputation in its short career - they were prize winners at the very first London International a cappella Choir Competition in April 2014, are the Ensemble in Residence at Classic FM's Bristol Proms and work frequently with such groups as Southbank Sinfonia and The English Concert. The group was founded by its director, Tom Williams, who is a specialist in European music of the Renaissance period and currently Assistant Director of Music at St Martin in the Fields.
