Spoken word, poems, music and visual art displays on various artists' perception of diversity are at the centre of a OneArt team event .
Art can be a powerful tool for social change. Through spoken word, poetry, musical and visual performances, OneArt hopes to start a conversation on the state of the nation concerning the lines that divide us: Religion, ethnicity, sexuality and so on.
During the evening participating artists will share their perspectives with us. The OneArt team also hopes that the sharing can go further. That we can learn from one another; which is why there will be an open canvas so you can express yourselves around the theme 'Diversity Is?'
Art materials will be provided so all you really need is a mind as open as the canvas, and the desire to speak up in a safe space.
Join us and witness for yourself the power of art as a change-maker as well as raising money to help young people gain the means to get involved in the arts - a step closer to putting an end to art elitism and making the arts accessible to all...
The funds raised from the ticket sales will go straight to Spotlight, a youth space in Tower Hamlets that strives to inspire young people to be creative.
