Young children love the freedom to run in the sun, play in the mud and explore the great outdoors. Come and have fun with your pre-schooler at London Wetland Centre at our Nature Play sessions each Monday in September.

Our experienced forest school leader will help you to engage your children with nature playing in our willow sculptures, cooking up wonders in our mud kitchen, playing hide and seek and telling stories. And when the weather is chillier we'll spend time inside our cosy yurt next to the fire.

No two sessions are the same and we’ll have a different theme each week such as colour, shapes and numbers. Nature Play is very much about child initiated play and learning so we'll be jumping in puddles and piles of leaves, hunting for minibeasts, exploring the outdoor environment and playing with cones and stones!

Wellies and splash suits are highly recommended along with gloves and hats. Please bring a snack and drink for your child, and our café is open for take away coffee, tea and snacks.

Every Monday in September (7th to 28th), 10am – 12 noon. Places are limited so to guarantee a place please book on 020 8409 4428. You can book all four sessions or just single classes. If there are spare places on the day you can book at the Centre.

Both adults and children must pay admission to London Wetland Centre (free for WWT members), plus £5 per child for each Nature Play session. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
