Etsy unites UK contemporary craft with its Four Corners of Craft exhibition, in partnership with the Crafts Council and Tent London. The exhibition highlights the variety and quality of work from a selection of talented design-makers selling on Etsy.

Earlier this year Etsy held an “open call” for designer-makers to apply to be part of its Four Corners of Craft exhibition, which was supported by creative organisations throughout England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Some of the confirmed exhibitors include:

England:
Ikuko Iwamoto has created an extraordinary range of sea urchin inspired ceramics. “Bringing together highend craft from all the UK regions is at the heart of what we do. We are delighted to partner with Etsy on The Four Corners of Craft for this year’s LDF.” Christiane Eck, Contemporary Applied Arts

Scotland:
Heather McDermott is a contemporary jeweller specialising in stainless steel with elements of silver. “Craft Scotland is delighted to partner with Etsy on this inspirational new project. It will create opportunities for our makers and build new audiences for their work.” Fiona Logue, Craft Scotland

Wales:
Benjamin Cramp is an industrial designer creating furniture from wood and steel. “My passion is working with wood that tells a story, timber that has had a life long before I carried it through the workshop doors. I do all I can to preserve that story.”

Northern Ireland:
Alison Lowry creates delicate vessels using a mixture of glass techniques. “Four Corners of Craft represents a fantastic opportunity for local designer-makers to have their work exhibited on an international stage.” Alan Kane, Chief Executive of Craft Northern Ireland.

As well as supporting designer-makers who wouldn’t have otherwise had the opportunity to showcase their work at the London Design Festival, all the exhibitors will also benefit from accessible professional development training from The Design Trust and local support services in the lead up to the exhibition.
