17hrs Festival with spoken word, live music, talks & an array of U.K premieres of some of the best films from Africa all day - giving way to a vibrant multi-level musical dance off til dawn.

Sat Sep 12 - The CLF [Chronic Love Foundation] + Adinkra Arts Collective Presents the Annual WELCOME TO BUSSEYWOOD Free 17Hr African Film & Eclectic Music Festival at the CLF / Bussey.

The largest 1 day African film festival in the UK back at its home in South London and this year we've got an even better line up of amazing hand picked cinema, music + so much more across 3 floors.

Look out for our new African Market [with spoken word, live music + talks] and an array of U.K premieres of some of the best films from Africa & the African diaspora all day - before giving way to a multi-level musical dancefest until 5am!

Film showings include U.K premieres of multi-award winning The Summer of Gods (Brazil), Bomlambo (SA), Polyglot (Germany) - with a gift of a QnA from its talented director flying in from German/Rwandan, Amelia Umuhire. Plus we've also got the U.K premiere of South African Film Kanye Kanye (SA), John Burris (U.S) Asmat (Ethiopia), Plus much more. Full Film programme coming soon!

Films run from 12 Midday to 9.30pm with 3 floors of Music events starting at 10pm. Level 1 - First Word are back for another installment of their brilliant EXCURSIONS Sessions. Soul, Beats, Hip Hop, Jazz and Beyond. The Mighty Gilla joined by one half of new Brownswood Recordings signings LV and Montreal's finest Lexis.

Then Level 2 - Gear up Boppers, time to celebrate strictly HAWAIIAN BOP stylee. A retrolicious 40's to 60's session with Richio Suzuki & special Guest DJ Jeff the Fish, plus Mark Norton laying down Sax + Bop regular Oscar Romp.

The Welcome To Busseywood Musical Line up completed on level 3 by HONEY HUSH with DJ Solid C + guests dropping ska, boss reggae, rockin' blues + a Live set by Native Suns around 8pm.
