Now in its seventh year, the UK’s finest and largest whisky event, The Whisky Show is returning to London this October. This much-loved festival brings together hundreds of the world’s most sought-after whiskies for two days only, with guests invited to taste world exclusive luxury drams, meet legendary figures from the whisky world, enjoy a variety of culinary delights and soak up the unique atmosphere. Due to the shows popularity, 2015 will see The Whisky Show move to the impressive Old Billingsgate where it is set to be bigger and better than ever, with 2015 shining a spotlight on the biggest legends in whisky.

Loyal whisky connoisseurs and enthusiasts from around the world journey to The Whisky Show every year, however it’s also an educational and aspirational playground for those new to whisky, cocktail fans, friends, couples and investors. There’s truly something for everyone, with a carefully crafted two-course whisky paired meal, an interactive cocktail bar, world-renowned guests including Dave Broom (Sunday Brunch regular and one of the UK’s best-loved spirits writers) and engaging mini-master classes served in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that’s worlds apart from the usual hectic, hurly-burly whisky fairs. This year’s show is paying tribute to whisky legends from around the world that have been invited to attend the show and to share a story or a dram with guests.

The Whisky Show will continue to focus on each exhibitor’s premium whiskies, well above their standard drams. With over 500 whiskies available to try through the day, as well as a generous food offering; with premium food pairings including Ibérico de Huelva jamon and cocktail confectioners Smith & Sinclair, The Whisky Show offers incredible value for money.

Cocktail lovers will appreciate the groundbreaking whisky-inspired cocktail creations from the Mixology Group, with Fentimans also on hand to show how to recreate simple serves at home. The Whisky Show is this year welcoming Bar Termini, which opened to great acclaim in 2014. The bar is a collaboration between Marco Arrigo, head of quality for Illy, and Tony Conigliaro, the drinks mastermind behind 69 Colebrooke Row and Zetter Town House, who will bring their perfectly crafted coffees and cocktails to the show.

What sets The Whisky Show apart from other tasting events around the world is the selection of ‘Dream Drams’; an unprecedented collection of more than 45 ultra-premium whiskies, some of which retail for thousands of pounds. Each ticket allows guests the chance to try one complimentary ‘Dream Dram’ worth up to £1000 per bottle; offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sample some of the rarest drams in the world. Additional Dream Dram tokens cost just £10, with Dream Drams available to try in previous years worth as much as £10,000.

The ideal gift for the whisky lover in your life, The Whisky Show has created four great-value whisky packages that combine a Sunday ticket to the show with bottles of whisky and other treats. Save over £50 with ‘The Finer Things Johnnie Walker Package’, which includes an engraved bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, The Whisky Exchange Tasting Book and two Johnnie Walker crystal tumblers. Offer price: £199.

The new home of The Whisky Show, the iconic Old Billingsgate is close to London Bridge, Tower Hill, Fenchurch Street and Bank stations, making it easy to get to and from the show. With a great choice of accommodation nearby, it makes sense to stay for the weekend and soak up The Whisky Show’s impressive offering. Based in the bustling Borough Market, be sure to visit The Whisky Exchange shop at Vinopolis for one of the biggest collections of whiskies and fine spirits in the country.

Early bird tickets have already sold out, with both day and weekend tickets now on sale. So gather your friends and start counting down the days to October, when distillers, whisky lovers, whisky legends and those wanting to learn more about this admired liquid travel from across the globe to come together for a dram (or two).
