A training day to explore the use of Rubrics as a powerful teaching tool and to help further develop your skills as an effective and engaging communicator using tried and tested Rubric techniques.

The use of Rubrics enhances the learning, and the teaching experience! In particular with reluctant learners as it gives them some ownership of their learning experience. It is a vital tool for gaining the participation of the students at the outset and keeping their interest throughout as they will have helped in the creation of the Rubric they are working with. A Rubric is similar to a graph…but much more exciting!

Rubrics make the learning experience more enjoyable and since they are very flexible can be used in all different subjects, including non – academic.

Understanding that communication is a science and that Rubrics are an excellent tool for use when exploring this and by applying the tried and tested principles of Rubrics, this has the added bonus of strengthening your own communication skills and building and developing trust and collaboration in the classroom.

Building on the successful series of communication workshops delivered since 2009 this one day workshop focuses on understanding the power of using Rubrics in education and putting the techniques into practice.

Target audience:
Teachers, Tutors and Classroom Assistants. In fact everyone involved in the teaching and learning process.
