Rock and roll’s greatest unsung hero Wilko Johnson has survived everything life and music can throw at him – and come back smiling. Now you’ve got the chance to ask the King of Canvey Island any darn question you like in a unique intimate Q and A at the legendary 100 Club on October 29th.

Paul Weller acknowledges Wilko’s guitar playing for Dr Feelgood was one of the most important influences on punk. His frenetic strut, the crazy stare and flashing Telecaster are among the great images of rock.

Two years ago Wilko refused chemotherapy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but has astonishingly survived and since toured with The Who, recorded an album with Roger Daltrey and is the subject of a Julien Temple documentary film.

From the Feelgoods to Game of Thrones via his triumphant return from cancer…there are many John Wilkinsons, but only one by the name we now know him best, the amazing Wilko Johnson.

Here’s your unique opportunity to meet truly one of the most engaging characters in music, hosted by the Culture Show’s Miranda Sawyer
