London’s only festival dedicated to writers and writing is returning to Peckham this October with an even bigger programme showcasing some of the UK’s hottest young authors alongside cabaret, pub crawls, walks, talks, parties, workshops and writing master-classes. The Festival runs from 12 to 18 October 2015. This year there will be over 150 writers, agents, publishers and performers taking part in 20 venues across South London. The programme of events includes the popular Agent-Led Dog Walk with Carrie Kania and Jo Unwin, and an expanded, two-day Publishers’ Fair showcasing the best independent literary and art publishing, plus ‘cover letter triage’ for writers contacting agents and publishers.
There will be writing workshops and an exciting line-up of authors and artists sharing their work and experiences. Highlights for 2015 include:

Monday 12 October 19:00-23:00 A launch event championing innovative fiction in association with the Goldsmiths Prize with readings from Natasha Soobramanien & Luke Williams, Jonathan Gibbs and Will Eaves.

Tuesday 13 October 19:00 - 20:00 A debut author spotlight with readings from Natasha Pulley, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, (Bloomsbury, 2015) and Literary Kitchen alumna Anna Mazzola reads from her historical crime novel, The Unseeing,(forthcoming with Tinder Press, 2016).

Wednesday 14 October 19:00 - 20:00 Award winning writer and performer A. L. Kennedy reads from her new novel Serious Sweet.

Writer-in-Residence Thomas Darby, who invites you to make contact during the week of the festival to make new work.
A new Peckham Writing Map with free walks and talks – a great chance to meet other local writers.

Sunday 18 October 19:00 - 23:00 Closing event: grand finale featuring comedy can-can cabaret, arte-dance troupe the Dolly Mixtures, and headlining, glam-goth punk rockers Rasp Thorne & The Briars!

2015 will also see the event expanding into more venues in and around Peckham as a result of a new collaboration with ‘Lit Crawl London’, with an epic 16 venue lit-crawl around Peckham on Friday evening, as well as workshops and forums in The Cinnamon Tree Bakery, The Peckham Library and Cavalcanti.
