On a remote island, Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skilful manipulation. He conjures up a storm, The Tempest, to lure his usurping brother Antonio and the complicit King Alonso of Naples to the island.

Following their sell-out run of The Vagina Monologues earlier this year, prodigious all-female troupe Get Over It Productions return to The Bread & Roses Theatre; this time conjuring up some rough magic with their gothic version of Shakespeare's The Tempest. The production has had a previous sold out run at the Etcetera Theatre as part of the 10th Camden Fringe and also transferred to The Cockpit.

"Quite simply the best production of the Tempest I’ve ever seen" Camden Voyeur

"Equal parts hilarious, eye-opening and moving, this candid re-imagination of a classic play is a wonderful way to while away a summer evening." **** Everything Theatre

“The style is full on, overblown, physical theatre extravaganza and very funny, yet they also manage to hit some serious dramatic notes and pack in all the best lines…Fringe entertainment doesn’t come much briefer, cheaper or full of knickers and raspberry trumpets.” Londonist.com

"Shakespeare treated with a refreshing irreverence" Loitering in Theatre

“Fame and glory awaits” Camden New Journal
