Meet the Mentor, with Jamie Mollart and Tim Clare - The Literary Consultancy

Have you wondered if mentoring is right for you as a writer? Since 2008, TLC has run its unique Chapter and Verse mentoring programme, offering writers the opportunity for one-on-one feedback via a professional editor over the course of a year. The scheme is designed to support writers toward completion of a full-length book project in fiction, non-fiction, short stories or poetry.

We’re delighted to be able to celebrate Jamie Mollart’s publication of The Zoo, which was recently featured on Amazon’s Rising Stars of 2015 list, with this special event. Jamie will be in conversation with his TLC mentor, Tim Clare, whose novel The Honours has been called “gorgeously entertaining” (The Guardian) and “deeply compelling” (Financial Times). Together, they will discuss their writing, and will consider the impact of feedback and editorial input in crafting work over a period of time, within the context of a mentoring programme.
