Dan spent the first 19 years of his life in Thorshavn – the capital of a small country called the Faroe Islands which has a population of only 50,000. His mum signed him up for classical guitar playing and when he was 13 years old he entered a musical school. At 16 he was exposed to the likes of Jack Johnson; and this easy laid back singer-songwriter style inspired him to add singing to his own guitar playing. Playing around with covers for a few years and occasionally playing in the presence of family and friends he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009 where he studied Business at a university for two years. He moved back to the Faroe Islands to play professional football for a year and a half before moving to Queensland in Australia to finish his Business degree in 2013. After finishing his degree he decided to give music a full shot and moved south to Sydney where he got to play at pubs and bars and basically made a living out of music. In order to really make a break-through he then moved to London in June 2014.
