This series of presentations will focus on the Black statues that feature all over London but which many of us walk pass daily without noticing them, or knowing their history. Everyone knows about the Nelson Mandela statue in Parliament Square, but there are many other statues that have a history in London and are still around for us to see. Come and hear Avril Nanton talking about these in a two part series. The first part will feature some of the more well known statues. Part two will focus on the statues that are mostly unknown around London but which have a crucial historical link to all of us living in London.
