Finding the Female Headlines

Music showcase F.T.F.H (Finding the Female Headliners) in association with The Eve Appeal is aiming to help raise awareness of gynaecological cancers in the younger generation; whilst unearthing the newest talent.

The night, a partnership between promoter Robomagic live and Amazing Radio, is exclusively for female artists and female fronted bands - putting them firmly at the front of the stage, in the limelight that they deserve, very much like their male counterparts. Artist's to have graced the F.T.F.H stage include Hannah Lou Clark, Dios Mio, Daisy Victoria, Nova Twins, Dolores Haze, Actor and this month's line up Tara Priya, Rebecca Clements, Esther Joy Lane + Xylaroo.

Earlier in the year the news highlighted the lack of female musicians on our UK Festival line ups and even more worrying the absence of female headliners in general. So nights like this are essential support for women artists - spotlighting the talent and getting them onto the main stage on the festival circuit that is so dominated by male artists.

F.T.F.H was born after seeing the Festival line-up posters stripped of their male acts, it highlighted that festivals were dominated by male artists - 86% male was the latest figure publicised!

Interestingly the most common question to come up when developing a new artist is, how do I get on a festival bill? The night is about providing a platform for acts that may not have a label/ manager or agent pushing to get them on the right bills. Hopefully it will give them some exposure for the 2016 festival season.

There needs to be broader support across the industry for female artists who aren't making big hitter pop, female artists do break through. This is where you'll see first-hand these amazing acts.
