Applying the same sensory treatment that Vivaldi brought to the “Four Seasons” Roderick Skeaping’s improvisation collective embraces the Four Elements. Air Fire, Water and Earth are evoked through a dynamic integration of music, dance, live audio/video, cinema projection, puppetry and visuals.

Following their recent performance as part of Barbican Centre's Open Lab season, Roddy Skeaping (composer for Royal National Theatre, Globe Theatre, BBC Concert Orchestra) brings his acclaimed improvisation group Le Collectif International Des Improvisateurs to North London’s gigantic Exfed Warehouse for a special one-off event.

In this sensory, playful and interactive performance incorporating dance, audio and video alongside musical and live art improvisation, Le Collectif explores the ancient concept of 'Humourism'. This was the cornerstone of medical thinking from antiquity until the 19th century, linking the health of the human body with the elements: air, fire, water and earth. Hold on to your hat, extinguish the flames, then dive deep - but watch out for sharks before coming back to earth.

The performance will last one hour and will be followed by an improvised music performance from the internationally established, cutting-edge improvised music group Woven Entity.

Bar open 9.00 - 11.00pm
