During what is undoubtedly an interesting time for the Labour Party, we are delighted to announce an exclusive event with Alan Johnson MP.

Alan will be coming back to his roots as he makes a visit to East Sheen on Tuesday 27th October. In his youth, Alan worked in a shop in Sheen and when he joined the Post Office, he was a postman in Barnes.

Come and hear him discuss his award-winning and bestselling memoirs (This Boy and Please Mr Postman) as well as share his thoughts on everything from the leadership contest to his latest role as head of Labour’s ‘Yes to Europe’ campaign. Will he ever return to frontline politics or remain, as the New Statesman call him, "shadow secretary of state for working-class authenticity and having lived a bit"?

Alan will be in conversation with Kevin Maguire (Associate Editor of the Daily Mirror) and there will also be an opportunity to meet Alan as he signs copies of his book afterwards - a team from Waterstones in Richmond will be on hand selling copies of Alan's books. And he will also be very happy to sign any copies you've already bought and read.

Come and join us for an entertaining evening of lively discussion. Tickets are limited and likely to sell fast so please don’t hesitate to secure your place now.
