The days are getting shorter but here at Movimientos we have the perfect remedy to those post-summer blues. We've got two killer bands Grupo Lokito and Animanz, bringing you some ever-so-slightly-unhinged tropical goodness. Plus direct from Amsterdam UMOJA, along with Tru Thoughts' Don Pascal, plus Movimientos DJs will keep you rocking until the small hours.

GRUPO LOKITO
An incendiary fusion of Congolese and Latin vibrations

Formed in 2006 by British Latin pianist Sara McGuinness and Congolese singer Jose Hendrix Ndelo, Grupo Lokito's musicians are a mix of Congolese, Latin and British artists who have chosen to make London their home.

Lokito's energetic front-line of singers are true performers, and when the groove steps up a notch in the blistering salsa and seben sections, their outlandish dancing has to be seen to be believed.

ANIMANZ
Outerplanetary Afro-Latin Hip Hop Punks

Born into captivity, Animanz rattled, scratched, bit and tore until during 2013 they developed an awareness of what lay beyond the caged confines of London Zoo. As they explored, certain events lead them to experience such sounds as 'No Future' and 'Killa House Wife From Outta Space'. Described as HipFunkAfroLatinHop, an Animanz show is a safari through the dense urban jungle into a myotropic world of groove, energy and exhilaration.

Hear the Animanz upcoming EP in the flesh before anyone else, as we unleash them on Passing Clouds. Animanz take you on a safari through Afro Latin swamps and ancient Funk ruins.

Big band madness. Not one to miss, who knows when they will emerge again.

UMOJA
Direct from Amsterdam, embracing the power of sunshine, come UMOJA. An organic evolution between two humble groove aficionados whose paths crossed over half a decade ago. Combining electronic productions and the understanding of world rhythm

DON PASCAL (TRU THOUGHTS)
A key player in the story of World Music, Don Pascal, brings his classic latin sounds from Boogaloo to Salsa Dura.
