Over 45,000 Hammersmith and Fulham Residents (1 in 4) will have experienced a mental health problem this year, but it is likely that only a small percentage will have sought professional help or support. On Thursday 26 November, Hammersmith and Fulham Mind is holding an event to raise awareness of the range of services we provide in the local community and the opportunities for volunteering. We have been working to enhance and protect the mental health of the local community for over 30 years, by combatting stigma, empowering residents, promoting wellbeing and supporting recovery.

The event will enable residents to see for themselves the many preventative projects we currently run that can benefit everyone’s wellbeing. It will also feature the incredible work and support given by volunteers, which help us to deliver the best mental health support services to the people of Hammersmith and Fulham including;

Pathways, Building Connections, Befriending, Beating Isolation, Cityfix, Cleaning Hit Squad, Heads Up, Time to Talk, Well at Work, In Education Support and Advocacy; both community and inpatient.

Would you be interested in coming along to find out more about the incredible work Hammersmith and Fulham Mind and our volunteers currently do?

This event will benefit everybody in our local community, and is open to all. We especially would like to draw in potential new volunteers who can help with our many projects. It will also incorporate the formal part of our AGM proceedings and present our report and accounts 2014-15.
